The Prince Edward Island Psychologists Registration Board operates on Epekwitk, the Mi’kmaq name for Prince Edward Island, and the ancestral, traditional, unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People of this region.
Welcome to the website of the Prince Edward Island Psychologists Registration Board. This site is designed to help the Board communicate with the public, registrants, and potential applicants.
The Board operates under the Psychologists Act (2009), and registers psychologists, psychological associates, psychologist candidates, and psychological associate candidates. The purposes of the Board are:
(a) to regulate the practice of psychology by registrants and professional psychology corporations;
(b) to establish or adopt standards for the practice of psychology by registrants and professional psychology corporations; and
(c) to safeguard the welfare of the public with respect to the practice of psychology by registrants and professional psychology corporations.
